Who we are

Olvaine is a self-drive hire company in Salford. One Moskvich 5, a reserve car behind it, and no premises for you to visit — we deliver and collect free anywhere inside the M60.

What our customers actually want

Almost nobody books this car because it is interesting. They book it because they need a comfortable automatic for a week and the alternative involves a trip out to the airport. Once we understood that, the business got simpler: keep one car properly, make it easy to get, and be straight about what it is like to sit in.

That is why our longest page is about the interior and how comfortable it actually is, including the infotainment quirks and the boot figure we refuse to guess at.

What "looked after" means here

For a car hired on comfort, the interior is not a cosmetic detail — it is the product. A valet before every handover is not about looking keen; it is because nobody enjoys a week in somebody else's crumbs. The same logic applies to the things people notice without naming: a wiper that smears, a cabin filter past its date, a seat that has picked up a smell.

• Interior cleaned to a standard, not to a schedule

How we price

A written total before you commit, with insurance, breakdown cover, delivery and mileage already inside it. Nothing is added at the keys. If the dates are taken we tell you on the call rather than take a deposit and sort it out afterwards. Ask about yours.
